Anesthesia

PETS Hospital is equipped with the latest technology and pharmaceuticals to help ensure a safe and uneventful anesthesia for your pet. Prior to any anesthetic event, we perform thorough physical examinations and recommend bloodwork as a pre-anesthetic health screen. Anesthetic monitoring is achieved via indirect blood pressure oscillometry, pulse oximetry, ECG, temperature, and respiratory monitors.

Blood Bank

Patients come into the ER needing blood products because of car accidents, toxicities (rat bait), snakebites, immune disorders and other causes. Having pets available to donate day and night can literally save these animals’ lives. Being an ER, we never know how many pets will need blood products at any given moment so having a list of pets available to call in is essential.

CareCredit

PETS Hospital offers Care Credit to our clients. We know that times are tough for a lot of folks but that doesn’t mean your pet’s health needs to suffer.

Care Credit is a credit card specifically for health needs. It can be used for Lasik, Cosmetic, Dental, Veterinary, and other Medical Specialties for both you and your pets!

Cardiology

PETS Hospital partners with Coast to Coast Cardiology to provide advanced cardiology consultations in house by a board certified cardiologist. Services include: ECG, Echocardiogram, Holter and Event Monitors, Blood Pressure, and Interventional Cardiology. Appointments can be made directly by calling 844-582-3827.

Dermatology

PETS Hospital is excited to partner with Animal Dermatology Clinic to provide specialty services for advanced cases due to allergic skin and ear disease by a board-certified dermatologist. Allergic skin and ear disease represent a large portion of cases seen in both general veterinary and veterinary dermatology practices.

Diagnostic Laboratory

Our in-house laboratory services include same-day blood chemistry, complete blood count (CBC), urinalysis, blood gases, fecal analysis, cytology and several specific diagnostic tests. Additionally, we have an arrangement for regular laboratory pickup through the local Idexx clinical veterinary laboratory and typically receive results within 12-24 hours.

Electrocardiography (ECG)

We are equipped with a modern ECG machine that allows us to diagnose and monitor cardiac arrhythmias and other abnormalities, as well as providing an important support tool for anesthesia and surgery. Our ECG equipment also allows us to consult directly with a board certified veterinary cardiologist via phone and internet for rapid diagnosis and treatment recommendations.

Emergency and Critical Care

At PETS Hospital, our passion is Emergency and Critical Care. We accept walk-in emergencies and urgent care appointments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are equipped with advanced diagnostics, oxygen and heat support cages, and other equipment needed for support of our critical patients. Additionally, all of our staff has received advanced training in critical care and emergency medicine.

PennHIP

PennHIP is a sedated radiographic procedure to help determine hip joint laxity. Increased "looseness" or laxity of the hip joins can be used to predict a dog's risk of developing hip dysplasia.

PETS Hospital offers a comprehensive in-house pharmacy to meet your pets’ medicinal needs.

Radiology

We offer a comprehensive in-house state-of-the-art digital radiology service. In addition to being read by our veterinary team, our radiographs also get sent to a board certified veterinary radiologist for review. Our well-trained technical staff and modern equipment allow us to provide radiographic analysis on a same-day or while-you-wait basis.

Soft Tissue and Orthopedic Surgery

PETS Hospital offers a wide variety of surgical services, including advanced orthopedic, soft tissue, and neuro surgery. All of our emergency veterinarians have experience performing emergency surgeries such as foreign body removal, lacerations, and gastric torsion procedures.

Ultrasonography and Echocardiography

PETS Hospital is equipped with a modern ultrasound machine with color-flow doppler that allows us to perform detailed ultrasonographic and echocardiographic studies on pets, as well as to facilitate fine-needle biopsies of internal organs. We frequently use our ultrasound as a tool to help us evaluate critical patients for internal bleeding, trauma, or tumors.
